Lynch Wine Reviews

2002 Lynch Cabernet

92 Points. Balanced in rich tannins and acids, with solid cassis and cherry fruit and a sweet veneer of oak, its splendid tonight with a steak, but should really hit its stride in a few years. Wine Enthusiast, July 2005

2002 Lynch Syrah

90 Points. This Syrah aims high. It's dry, rich and full-bodied, with rich tannins and oak, and is fruity enough for the core of cassis to develop for several years. Wine Enthusiast, July 2005

2000 Lynch Cabernet Sauvignon

*Wine of the Week*, St. Helena Star, July 2003
"Tasted from double-magnum at the recently completed wine auction, this Cab is already tasting delicious. It exhibits lots of toast and tar in the nose, which also translates to the palate. However, there is lots of complexity with great balance." Alan Goldfarb-St. Helena Star

Lynch Winery in Oakville, CA has turned out two tremendous reds. Even given their high prices, these two wines are about as dead on the money to their roots. The Syrah is totally Northern Rhone in both bouquet and flavor, and melds perfectly with Carl Schroeder¹s Arterra Pork Three Ways. The Cabernet, which rivals that of David Arthur, another Napa Valley small lot producer, is charming now, but will easily age 10-15 years or more. For serious wine collectors the wines from Dan Lynch are worthy of the cellar. Look for them, or ask Jeff or Eli for them, at Baron¹s Del Mar.-Del Mar Times, Andy Abramson
