Lynch Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley
Created by
Heidi Peterson Barrett
This is the second Cabernet release from our Lynch
Knoll vineyard located in the western hills of Napa Valley on lower Spring
Mountain near historic Stony Hill. The 2000's rich, deep ruby red color
is accompanied by extravagant layered aromas of blackberry, cherry and
red currant. A sweet touch of grandma's old fashioned rose perfume and
a spicy toasty tar rounds out these luscious complex notes. The mouthfeel
is silky and seamless with delicious dark berry, cherry and cassis fruit
flavors underscored with five-spice and rich chocolate. Hints of coffee
and blueberry and cherry cedar are apparent mid palate. Well balanced
and complex, the medium tannins add structure and texture to this wine.
This young wine drinks great now, but will taste even better over the
next 15 years.

Reviews:
*Wine of the Week*, St. Helena Star, July 2003
"Tasted from double-magnum at the recently completed wine auction,
this Cab is already tasting delicious. It exhibits lots of toast and tar
in the nose, which also translates to the palate. However, there is lots
of complexity with great balance." Alan Goldfarb-St. Helena Star

Brilliant ruby red hue. Tobacco, black currant, plum, oregano and oak
aromas. Medium-full to full-bodied with excellent concentration, this
is a tightly wound offering with a big finish featuring ample oak,
youthful tannins and tart acidity. Quite impressive...(Beverage Testing
