Lynch Cabernet Sauvignon
Napa Valley
Created by
Heidi Peterson Barrett
This is the first Cabernet release from this unique
vineyard. The vines grow in the eastern Napa Valley hills north of St.
Helena near historic Stony Hill. The wine is deep ruby in color with
layered aromas of spicy baked plum and rose perfume. It has a very silky,
seamless mouthfeel with similar plummy fruit in the mouth. Accents of
cedar, five-spice, and a slight resin character make for a very complex
interesting wine. Tannins are light and add mostly a textural structure
to the wine. The balance is very good. The wine seems lively and yet
more mature than the young vintage would indicate at the same time. A
very easy to drink wine that will lend itself well to a vast array of
flavorful dishes.
